(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 7 - Three members of the Saudi family are arrested. The New York Times reports, citing some sources, according to which the arrests show the determination of the crown prince Mohammed bin Salman to resolve the possible obstacles to his reign. The youngest brother of King Salman, Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz was arrested; the former Crown Prince Mohammedbin Nayef and his brother, Prince Nawaf bin Nayef.
Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz was the hope of the members of the royal family and of those who wanted to block the ascent of Prince bin Salman. Prince Mohammed bin Nayef was the ex-minister of the interior and the one that the Americans would have preferred: the prince while minister, in fact, developed close relationships with American intelligence.
