Corona crisis: The Fattal chain announced Thursday that it will close many hotels, including the Dead Sea, some hotels in Eilat and Tel Aviv. The Isrotel chain announced that they would also close hotels, as did the Dan chain. Some networks choose to leave some hotels open by region, thus uniting those who still book.
As first published yesterday in Israel Today, some Nakash Brothers hotels, including ocean and opera, will close. Stai and other chain hotels are also expected to close, and are only a small part of a long list of hotels that have closed over the past two days.
An employee at the Fattal chain hotel in Eilat told Israel Today that, "There are no reservations for the coming period, the situation is terrible and we are afraid of our livelihood. We have a very difficult time that we hope will end soon, otherwise I am watching a very big mess here, the hotels here are closing one after the other. "
Another hotel that is due to close is Club Hotel in Eilat, alongside seven Prima chain hotels, four Atlas chain hotels. Brown chain hotels will take advantage of the period for renovations and dozens more hotels will close their doors due to low demand and the lack of tourists in Israel.
In the coming days we are expected to announce quite a few more hotels that will close their doors. However, some hotels, including Alma and NEA, choose to stay open and even lower prices. If you still feel like going on holiday in Israel, the prices of hotels that remain open are likely to fall.
