"Paris Photo New York", the first Paris Photo fair to be held in New York from April 2 to 5, has been postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic, organizers announced on Thursday 12 March. A decision made after the United States announced the closure of American territory to European nationals, except residents of the United Kingdom.

178 galleries and publishers, more than a hundred media partners, institutions and artists had responded present for this first American edition.
" But our priority remains to preserve the safety and health of our exhibitors and visitors, and we are convinced that this postponement is in the interest of all, galleries, collectors, partners and photography enthusiasts ", explained its director Florence Bourgeois and its artistic director Christoph Wiesner.

They announce that they will keep them "informed as soon as possible of the new planned dates" .
Paris Photo is the largest annual meeting of art photography in France. In November, the fair brought together more than 200 exhibitors - 180 galleries from 30 countries, and 31 publishers - for its 23rd edition at the Grand Palais.
Last April, Paris Photo had proudly announced the launch of this American edition presented in collaboration with The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD), which was to be held at Pier 94.
Founded in 1979 in New York, AIPAD represents more than 120 internationally renowned galleries in the field of photography.
