(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 14 - There are 17,750 coronavirus patients in Italy, 2,795 more than yesterday, while the total number of infected people - including the victims and the cured - reached 21,157. The data was provided by the emergency commissioner Angelo Borrelli during a press conference at the Civil Protection. The victims of coronavirus in Italy reached 1,441: in a single day there was an increase of 175 deaths, there were 250 ever.
1,966 people recovered after contracting the coronavirus, 527 more than yesterday, said Borrelli.
The patients admitted to ICU are 1,518, 190 more than yesterday. Of the 17,750 patients overall, 8,372 are hospitalized with symptoms and 7,860 are those in homecare isolation.
The total swabs are 109,170, over 74 thousand of which in Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna.
