"This is an unprecedented crisis, in the past we have overcome crisis and together we will overcome the coronavirus crisis". (HANDLE)

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MARCH 19 - "This is a crisis that has not preceded, in the past we have overcome crisis and together we will overcome the crisis of the coronavirus". This is the message launched today by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg who expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and expressed his "solidarity with those who suffer from the virus" and his "gratitude to all those who work in the frontline health sector and fight the virus day and night, but also to "military personnel".
Stoltenberg then said that this is a "moment when our resilience is put to the test and tested to the limit" with the "allied governments that have taken measures that have no precedent and that have profound economic consequences".
Then he mentioned the "robust" and "preventive" measures adopted by NATO, for example at the headquarters in Brussels to limit the risks and spread of the virus and to ensure that "our work continues".
