The coronavirus pandemic spares no one, not even the British royal family. Prince Charles, heir to the crown, has just been tested positive for Covid-19, his services announced on Wednesday. Aged 71, he has "mild symptoms".
The son of Elizabeth II "remains in good health", with the exception of these symptoms, and "telework as usual," insisted Clarence House in a statement.
The Prince of Wales is currently in Scotland with his wife Camilla, who "has been tested but does not have the virus," the same source said.
An event in London with Prince Albert II
"It is not possible to determine with certainty who contaminated the prince because of the many engagements in which he participated in recent weeks," it is still indicated.
According to the British press, Charles, currently at the Scottish castle of Balmoral, participated on March 10 in an event in London in the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco, tested positive since at Covid-19.
Elizabeth II, 93, retired for several weeks to Windsor Castle, some 40 kilometers west of London.
As for the British government, it asked all people over the age of 70 to isolate themselves for 12 weeks.
