(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, MARCH 26 - The United States Senate unanimously approved the "historic" 2,000 billion dollar plan to support the world's largest economy, suffocated by the coronavirus pandemic that has already caused over 1,000 victims in the United States. The text now passes to the Chamber.
Supported by President Donald Trump and the result of harsh negotiations between senators and the White House, the text was adopted with the support of all the Democrats and Republicans present (96 votes in favor, zero against). The plan will now have to be approved by the dem-controlled House of Representatives, with a vote scheduled for tomorrow, before being promulgated by the president. "I encourage the House to approve this vital test and send the bill to me without delay to be promulgated: I will sign it immediately," Trump said at the press conference today.
