"The Plot Against America": for lovers of uchonia
OCS. Adapted from a uchronic novel (fictional tale based on historical elements) by Philip Roth, this mini-series imagines that in 1940, President Roosevelt, favorable to the entry of the United States into the Second World War, lost the elections against aviator Charles Lindbergh, sympathizer of the Nazi regime and known for his anti-Semitic positions. Told from the youngest point of view of a Jewish family from New Jersey, the story tells, through the contrasting destinies of several characters, the progressive rise, over two years, of fascism and anti-Semitism on the spot, and goes as far as '' imagine that Lindbergh organizes the displacement of Jewish populations in certain states in order to be herded there. Faithful to the novel, talkative but very rhythmic, formidably interpreted in particular by Winona Ryder, "The Plot Against America" devours and gives chills: a great success.

"Self made": to cheer up
Netflix. In "Self Made", she interprets, with finesse, a particularly inspiring figure, but largely unknown: CJ Walker, "first African-American millionaire in history". Married at 14, widowed at 20, taking care, alone, of her daughter in Saint-Louis, in Missouri, she is an example of self-determination, despite the hardships of life. His salvation board?
