(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, MARCH 3 - Ratko Mladic, the former chief of the Serbs of Bosnia sentenced to life in prison for the genocide of Srebrenica, war crimes and war against humanity, was subjected to surgery this morning intestine in Holland, where he is held in Scheveningen prison, taken in The Hague. The news was reported by the Tanjug agency, citing the son of the former general. "To our family's surprise, Ratko Mladic was operated on this morning. They told us that the surgery was over and he woke up," Mladic's son Darko told Tanjug. Ratko Mladic, who is 78 years old, has been very precarious for some time, with the former general also suffering from cardiac and neurological problems.
