Israel was put in closure, but until yesterday in the private hospital they worked normally, as if war is not going on outside their gates • The Ministry of Health is not really a matter • Interpretation

That was to be taken for granted. In recent weeks, according to the Ministry of Health's demand and fear of a deadly increase in the corona epidemic, the State of Israel has been introduced into a worsening closure. The lives of all Israelis have changed radically - and there are already close to one million unemployed Israelis. But last night, the Ministry of Health's management failed miserably when it was not instructed two weeks ago to stop completely and improvise all planned surgeries and treatments in all private hospitals, clinics and private institutes. In the meantime, they are completely working as usual, as if they have not had the serious health war for decades.

This step is required and necessary because in private hospitals hundreds of surgeries are performed daily by some of the senior doctors in Israel. Almost all of them work in parallel in public hospitals and health funds, and must be in constant readiness and emergency preparedness for Corona. In addition to doctors, hospital employees also have siblings and other employees who can be very critical and critical to the public health system.

This situation continues to occur when the public health system is in a special and unprecedented state of emergency. Some 3,500 (doctors, siblings, and other medical workers) in the public health system are in isolation, many vital departments have been completely disabled after patients or employees have been discovered, and 114 health care workers have been infected in Corona, some by patients and some by their co-workers.

More than a week ago, the Ministry of Health ordered public hospitals to cancel all planned (elective) surgeries, not only because of the need for hospital beds, doctors and respirators - but also the need to reduce the number of patients needing special care and emergency care following these surgeries. This is in addition to the possibility that there are patients undergoing surgery, who will start in Corona. Of course, these justifiable arguments are also valid in private medicine, but all this has for some reason not moved anything to the top of the Ministry of Health, which is suffering from severe moral blindness.

The critical medical reasons of a world-threatening epidemic are also joined by weighty moral and public arguments that private hospitals should not continue to work as physicians and patients' movement as usual, while all public hospitals are subject to severe and ongoing emergency.

On Thursday, Dr. Vered Ezra, head of the medical department at the Ministry of Health, wrote to all hospital managers and private institutes to prepare a two-day advance notice of planned cessation. However, despite this letter, the Ministry of Health, meanwhile, chose not to issue the order to stop surgery In private hospitals - everything is "business as usual" and the fund registers, all while at the same time in the Ministry of Health seek to aggravate the unbearable closure of the public and when doctors, brothers, nurses and all other public health system workers are under the burden, and under constant threat In the infection of the corona virus.

The Ministry of Health did not respond to "Israel Today".
