(ANSA) - TOKYO, MAR 29 - Tokyo marks another daily record of coronavirus infections, at 68 on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the capital to 430. Meanwhile, an off-season snowfall - with temperatures that have dropped to 3 degrees, after the 25 registered yesterday - has contributed to a lower movement of people, in line with the exhortation of the governor Yuriko Koike to citizens not to leave their home, if not for essential services. The highest number of cases of infection, 30, occurred in a hospital in the municipality of Taito, north-east of the capital.
Among the cases of contagion reported yesterday, in the prefecture of Chiba, east of Tokyo, there were also 26 disabled people in an assistance center, along with 32 assistants working in the same facility. The total number of coronavirus infections in Japan rose to 1,693, with 52 deaths.
