Revivo's project members have re-recorded Ofra Haza's "Prayer" song, and all proceeds from it will be transferred to Madama Music.

Members of Revivo's project band have re-recorded the song "Prayer" by Ofra Haza, and all proceeds from it will be transferred to MDA • The composition will appear live on the site and in the "Israel Today" widget.

"Aloha, please keep us as children / Keep please and don't leave / Give us light and youthful joy / Give us strength more and more," sings the late Ofra Haza in the song "Prayer" which came out in 1981. Revivo's project members, Nir Ben Menachem, Reviv Ben Menachem and Eliran Tzur, thought there was no better time than the Corona crisis to reissue this song, and their proceeds would be transferred to MDA. A special performance of the ensemble will air on Monday 18:00 on the website and the "Israel Today" widget.

"We took the song in the direction of an exciting ballad. The words touch and speak for this period," says Nir Ben Menachem. "It's a very upbeat song. The people of Israel and the entire world need this optimism, besides it being a beautiful song by Ofra and this year marks the 20th anniversary of her death."

Project members also filmed a clip that accompanies the song. "We shot a modest clip on Raviv's house, on the roof," he says. "We have done something very limited in accordance with the Health Ministry's restrictions, of course keeping our distance."

According to Raviv Ben Menachem, the song was also compiled according to the restrictions: "We were only two at the same time in the recording room, we made sure to disinfect everything with alcohol, we were with gloves," he says.

Nir: "We feel a moral and moral obligation to continue making music these days. Everyone is hard, no routine, everything is frozen, but we are trying to produce something from there."

I suppose you too have suffered many cancellations because of the corona.

Raviv: "25 performances went away a day. And it's not just the three of us, there are also musicians, office workers. Everything was interrupted by Ivo. down".

Nir: "Called us grooms and brides we had to show up for at weddings, and begged us to come anyway. Our office manager was helpless, but we had to obey instructions."

Since the Corona crisis began, they have moved to another mode. "Last week, we performed as part of the Zappa and Rainbow 12 collaboration," Nir says. "Besides, I set up an internet radio station in my studio that broadcasts on the project's Facebook page. Every day once or twice I broadcast songs to our audience and talk a little bit. This is our way of feeling the audience. Nir and Eliran occasionally come in, we chat with the audience. "Third is a performance in front of an empty hall, which will be broadcast to social workers. It's hard to perform like that, without a crowd, without applause and happy. We're used to making love with the audience."

Reviv: "The hardest thing is that I can't feel the audience."

How do you prepare for the next?

Nir: "There is serious uncertainty. We have no choice but to be optimistic. On the most difficult personal level, we do not see our mother. She is a widow, 70, never had a Passover that we were not together, which is the hardest thing."

Raviv: "We were notified that there would be no Independence Day shows. 25 years ago we did not celebrate Independence Day with the family because we always showed up, so this year we will celebrate at home on the roof."
