It is due to expire in June and the club is struggling with the coronavirus crisis (ANSA)

The story of Abdelhak 'Appie' Nouri comes from Holland as evidence that the financial tsunami arriving on football will also have interpersonal consequences, as well as on the current accounts of the scoundrels of football. According to the Telegraaf, Ajax would have decided to cut the 22-year-old talent from the squad, who left the coma a few days ago after almost three years.

The history of Nouri has touched the whole world: a little less, it would seem, the Amsterdam club, which, as the local media assure, has never lacked its proximity and medical assistance. With the spearmen's shirt, Nouri played until a cardiac arrest cut him off. The Dutch club, struggling like everyone else with the reduction of engagements due to the coronavirus emergency, has decided to cancel the tacit agreement for an automatic renewal of the midfielder's contract, expiring on 30 June (always
that Fifa does not extend the terms of the agreements, given the postponement of the calendars): in the two seasons in which Nouri fought from a hospital bed, Ajax observed the contract, but now it has reversed the renewal agreed with the agent before the accident.

Nouri's family put the file in the hands of a lawyer.

Nouri felt ill during a friendly with Werder Bremen on 8 July 2017. After suffering brain damage, the young man showed the first signs of awakening one year after admission. A few days ago, as Brother Abderrahim said, "Appie has left the hospital, is no longer in a coma and is at home: she sleeps, eats, frowns, but does not get out of bed and is very dependent. She is aware of where he is and it is important that he is with the family. It is possible to communicate with him, we also watch the football matches recorded and he reacts ".
