Independence Day is considered to be one of the happiest days of the year with many Israeli artists performing on the main stages around the country, but, as expected, this year's celebrations will be a little different, if any.

Israel Today has learned that some of the major cities, including Jerusalem, Ramat Gan and Tel Aviv, have already officially announced the cancellation of the events, besides other, smaller cities, such as Ramla, Hod Hasharon and more.

"Every day, some cancellations of municipalities and other bodies come, and those who have not canceled until now will cancel in the coming days," says one of the producers. "It is clear to everyone that traditional Independence Day days will not take place as planned."

Independence Day will be marked in less than a month, and at this stage it is unclear what the Ministry of Health's restrictions will be on citizens and what the conditions are, but with due respect to the festivities, health precedes all and there is great doubt as to whether there will be any radical changes until then. Either way, the municipalities already have thoughts of new initiatives that will still please the residents. In addition to appearances on social networks and digital, which have become routine these days, they are also considering performing on trucks that will move around the neighborhood and have artists performing. The idea behind this initiative is to both raise morale and provide work for artists.

In addition, options for an Israeli party in the digital media of some of the localities are being explored, as well as the option of a barrage of fireworks from a number of focal points larger than previous ones, in order for people to absorb the holiday atmosphere.

Tel Aviv, one of the largest cities and with the famous slogan "City without a break", is now forced to take a break in the shadow of the Corona. Currently, other events such as "White Night" and Pride events are also highly questionable.
