(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 31 - The Board of Directors of Atlantia today approved the provision of donations for 5 million euros aimed at supporting the management of the emergency caused by Covid19, to develop research, diagnosis and health care projects for citizens who have contracted the virus and to encourage the commitment of humanitarian associations towards the weaker sections of the population. We read it in a company note.
Specifically, 2 million euros are made available to the Civil Protection for the purchase of lung ventilators and individual protection devices; a contribution of 1.2 million euros goes to the Policlinico San Martino in Genoa for the construction of a specialized diagnosis laboratory; a partnership of 1 million is expected with the Gemelli Hospital in Rome to develop an innovative Artificial Intelligence system capable of predicting the evolution of the virus and other infectious diseases; contributions also to the new 'CovidHospital' in Tor Vergata (500 thousand euros) and to the Community of Sant'Egidio (300 thousand euros).
