Rustu Recber, former Barcelona goalkeeper named best in the world in his role in 2003, and now positive for coronavirus, is worsening. The player has been hospitalized in his Turkey for days, after the announcement of the positivity made by his wife after returning from a trip to the United States.
According to local media reports, taken from the Spanish Marca, Rustu, 46, is said to be in critical condition. His choice not to go into quarantine on his return from the US had sparked protests via social media even from his former fans of Galatasary's time, but now everyone is in a hurry for the evolution of his clinical conditions.
Rustu played in the Turkish national team from '94 to 2012, contributing to third place in the 2002 World Cup. After wearing the Barcelona shirt, he signed for Fenerbahce and then for Besiktas, where he ended his career in 2012.
