(ANSA) - VENICE, MARCH 31 - The tests to lift the Mose, the system that will protect Venice and the lagoon from high waters, have started today in Chioggia. This morning we started with the north side and the first nine mobile structures, tomorrow as many will be raised in the south part. The operational team, headed by physicist and engineer Davide Sernaglia, is made up of 12 men. He worked with special anti Coronavirus masks.
It was an important lifting test, the first in the lagoon in slightly adverse weather conditions due to the strong wind and the presence of waves up to over one meter high.
