"We made a promise and kept it." Guido Bertolaso wrote it in a message read at the presentation of the Fiera Milano hospital built in 10 days for the Coronavirus emergency. A "specialist" hospital, he wrote, which can be "replicated nationally and internationally". And again: "Proud to be Italian, when the country calls I answer". A hospital built, he added, "in unusual and unexpected times". And Fontana's choice to do so "has taken on an exemplary character". And again: "Italy's cry for help is answered, even if with risks to which I knew I could go."

"It is a hospital in all respects, not a field hospital" and will host "the largest intensive care unit in Italy". This was underlined by Ezio Belleri, general manager of the Policlinico di Milano who will manage the hospital built at the Fiera in Milan.

"It is a great challenge", "an unimaginable result" the result of "a huge effort" and "we are proud to manage a structure that has no equal", concluded Belleri. "We did in 10 days what we do in an ordinary way in a few years" said the president of the Fondazione Fiera Enrico Pazzali at the press conference for the inauguration of the new hospital and intensive care center at Fiera Milano, built in ten days to the Coronavirus emergency.

The hospital built at the Fiera in Milan "will be the symbol of the battle won against the coronavirus and the symbol of the recovery of our region": said the president of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana. But, Fontana said, "with one condition: we have not yet won anything so we don't spread too much enthusiasm. People have to stay at home because that's the only way we can win."
