The Minister of Education, Imad Al-Azab, affirmed the continuation of the decision taken by the governmental team concerned with following up the procedures to tackle the Corona virus, which calls for extending the disruption of public and private schools and those in charge of them, and the like, and their affiliated institutes, from April 2 to 16.
In an interview with the Syrian channel tonight, Minister Al-Azab said that the educational and educational process is an important thing, but the health of our students ’students is above all else and as long as there is a danger to their health there is no permanence in schools or exams, stressing that the government's priorities are that there is no danger to the lives of citizens

Al-Azab added that extending the suspension of school hours is a matter for the Ministry of Health. With regard to the date of the exams for the basic and secondary education certificates, Al-Azab said that the exams for the preparatory and secondary certificates are still on schedule, but that is linked to the development of events as well, so as long as there is a risk to the health of our students' students, there will be a delay of the exams.
Al-Azab stressed that the idea of canceling exams is unacceptable and illogical. When things recover, we have many options available and we will not ask our children of students something they did not take during the regular school year, indicating that there is a mechanism to compensate for educational losses and there is no decision at the expense of the student.
And the Minister of Education stated in this regard that the educational satellite channel has been completely emptied through a regular program through which the specialized mentors give lessons to all stages, including the lessons of the two certificates, and therefore whoever wishes can continue the lessons through the educational satellite again, stressing that there is no resumption of school attendance as long as There is a risk to the health of a student or student of one of the children of the Syrian Arab country.
Al-Azab pointed out that the process of sterilizing schools continues, as the number of schools that have been sterilized at the country level to date has reached more than 10 thousand schools and there are only a very few that will be sterilized within three days at the latest.
Al-Azab continued that, starting from the tenth of this month, according to the process of monitoring the reality of the Corona virus and ensuring that the country is completely free of this virus, the ministry will issue a statement on its official website and through the educational satellite channel and the official media announcing the resumption of the academic year and examinations for transitional classes if Additional or other extension required.
