Family members said that about a month ago, on March 6, the late Danny celebrated his 80th birthday with his family, feeling good and surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren. Days after being hospitalized, Danny died of the disease. His daughter added that she could not visit and talked with him for several days as his condition deteriorated. "He asked me to come with him but I explained to him that it was impossible because of the isolation. It was terrible that I couldn't separate him."

Last night, his wife also died. Among the family and friends, they said that Danny was widowed by his first wife in 1978 and remains with four children. In 2003 he got married. "There were a noble, kind-hearted, loving man and family. It's a terrible disaster, tragedy and tremendous pain that we couldn't even be with," friends said.

Hospital announcements said the two had background illnesses. Wolfson added that he had come to the screening on March 22, and verified that he was infected with the virus.
