Ezio Vendrame , 72 years old, former footballer from Vicenza, Naples, Padua and Udinese, died in Treviso. He had also been coach of Pordenone and Venice. Vendrame was considered the Italian George Best, genius and unruliness. According to the first information, his disappearance is not linked to the coronavirus.

Vendrame had made his Serie A debut in 1971 with Lanerossi Vicenza where he was the absolute idol for three years. After a brief spell on Luis Vinicio's Napoli, who has always left him on the sidelines, he landed at Padova in Serie C, where he remained for two seasons. Dozens are the episodes, some tragicomic, which distinguish his career as a footballer. That of coach stopped, however, after many successes, in front of the intrusiveness of the parents of the baby footballers: "I would train only a team of orphans", was his famous parting on the bench.
