(ANSA) - RAVENNA, APRIL 04 - The Fablab of the Bassa Romagnaparticipates in the national initiative for the creation of emergency masks for hospital respirators, in response to the appeal started by the Fablab of Milan to create 900 respirator kits to be destined for the Milanese hospitals: yes it is a valve called 'Charlotte' which allows to transform a Decathlon underwater mask into a respirator. The masks thus adapted were shown to be able to cope with the possible penury of hospital Cpap masks for sub-intensive therapy.
"We have downloaded the project files needed to create the valve with our 3d printers - explains FabioZalambani, president of the Maker Station FablabBassa Romagna association - Those produced in Cotignola (Ravenna), as well as in many other Italian fablabs, will be collected in Milan and destined for there is a need. " "Before the lockdown I was able to transfer a printer from our laboratory - says Massimo Frassetto, of the same association - Now I can print from home. At the moment we are able to manufacture two of them a day: we will try to help by giving the maximum that is within our possibilities".
