(ANSA) - BOGOTA ', APRIL 5 - A strong explosion occurred in Colombia in a network of three coal mines not far from Bogota with a provisional balance of at least 11 deaths. Radio RCN reports it.
The incident, the broadcaster reported, occurred in the Pueblo Viejo infringement of the municipality of Cucunubá, in the Cundinamarca department, less than 90 kilometers from the Colombian capital.
Catalina Georghe, head of the National Mining Agency (ANM) Directorate of Security, declared that 11 corpses were extracted from the allegory after the outbreak, while two miners remained unharmed.
Another, however, is currently missing.
For her part, Liliana Ladino, head of the Ubaté Fire Brigade Corps, said that the explosion was most likely caused by an accumulation of gas in one of the galleries.
