Despite the bright sunshine on the Hexagon and the start of the holidays, which encourage some French people to put their noses out, the Covid-19 epidemic continues to rage in France.
According to the assessment communicated this Sunday evening by the Directorate General of Health, the country deplores 357 additional deaths in 24 hours in hospitals. This figure seems to be part of a downward trend observed in recent days. Since the start of the epidemic, 5,889 patients with Covid-19 have died in hospitals.
Taking into account the 2,189 deaths in nursing homes and other medico-social establishments, this brings to 8078 the total death toll due to this virus.
