Rustu Recber, the former Turkish goalkeeper of Barcelona named best in the world in his role in 2003, who had been hospitalized in Istanbul after being tested for coronavirus, was discharged after more than a week in hospital. The Turkish CNN reports it.
In the past few days, the health professionals who were treating the 46-year-old, a long-time player of the National team and of the Istanbul clubs Fenerbahce and Besiktas, had reported a constant improvement in his condition after a phase that had been defined as critical. Rustu had tested positive at Covid-19 after returning from a trip to the United States. His choice not to initially go into quarantine had sparked criticism on social media.
