(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 6 - There will be answers "in a short time" and in "a few days" there will be validation of the serological tests to be able to use on a large scale on samples of the population. The President of the Superior Health Council Franco Locatelli says to ANSA. The validation of the tests will take place, he explains, "on the basis of 4 criteria and must be tested with a national value, so that there is no risk of discrepancy between various Regions". "We are working hard - explained Locatelli - and there will be a short time to answer the validations within a few days". The validation of serological tests - aimed at identifying the presence of antibodies to SarsCov2 through a blood sample - will take place on the basis of 4 criteria: the high sensitivity and specificity of the test to avoid false positives or false negatives; testable in a short time; applicable on a large scale; difficult application. Finally also tests with national validity to avoid disparities between regions.
