Ben Gurion Airport is one of the busiest and most vibrant places in the State of Israel. On routine days, at this time of year, about one hundred thousand people pass through Ben-Gurion Airport in one day, a number that today seems to us to be imaginary, but until two months ago, the numbers were at their peak, both in inbound and outbound tourism.

We arrived at Ben Gurion Airport in the evening to check on the situation now and discovered complete peace, a few tens of meters away from us, a completely empty flight schedule, shops that were open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, completely closed and almost all gates closed .

The short video we shot there speaks for itself - desolate Benevolence, empty of passengers and, as mentioned, individual employees are hanging out in the lobby. Currently, only two companies operate at Ben Gurion Airport and are very limited with single flights a week. At present, Israel can only leave New York and Addis Ababa.

Israeli airlines have stopped all of their international operations a few weeks ago and operate only for rescue and cargo flights. El Al participates in a complex operation to bring medical equipment from China, an operation that includes 11 flights. Israir has already carried out more than 40 rescue flights from various countries around the world.
