  • 750 g asparagus
  • 1 kg of potatoes

  • 400 ml cream
  • 5 tbsp white wine
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg (grated)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 g gouda
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Recipe for asparagus and ham casserole: How to prepare it

  • Peel the asparagus and the potatoes. Cut the latter into thin slices.
  • Cut the spring onion into thin rings and grate the gouda.
  • Now brush the baking dish with butter.
  • Layer half of the potato slices. Sprinkle this with a few spring onions. Season with half the pepper, salt and nutmeg.
  • Pour half of the cream over it.
  • Now roll the cooked ham around the asparagus.
  • Halve the rolls and spread them on the potatoes in the baking dish. Drizzle with white wine and pour the remaining spring onions over it.
  • Put the remaining potatoes on top. Season again with salt, nutmeg and pepper and pour the rest of the cream over it.
