Umbrian municipality imposes masks

(ANSA) - GUALDO TADINO (PERUGIA), APRIL 6 - Obligation to wear a mask (or "any other garment covering the nose and mouth") for the inhabitants of Gualdo Tadino, provided for by an ordinance adopted "with immediate effect" by the mayor Maximiliano Presciutti, Pd. So far in Umbria neither the Region nor other Municipalities have adopted similar measures.
In particular, the mayor has ordered that "all citizens are obliged, every time they go outside the home, to take all the precautionary measures permitted and adequate to protect themselves and others from contagion. Presciutti, in addition to the use of masks and gloves , established that "in any external social activity, in any case, the interpersonal safety distance of at least one meter must be maintained." Finally, he charged the local police and other law enforcement officers to supervise the execution of the ordinance.
