The macabre count begins to rise again. 743 people have died of coronavirus in Spain in the past 24 hours according to figures released Tuesday by the Ministry of Health. This increase in the number of deaths comes after four consecutive days of decline announced by Madrid. A total of 13,798 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the health crisis in this country.
Another European country very affected by the coronavirus, Italy experienced a similar phenomenon on Monday. With 636 additional coronavirus deaths, the death toll started to rise again after a weekend of decline.
To fight against the pandemic, the Spanish government announced on Saturday the extension of the confinement of its country, decreed on March 14, to April 25. Or two more weeks of travel restriction measures.
