(ANSA) - BOLOGNA, APR 07 - The Laser Planet, a small company in Castiglione dei Pepoli, on the Bologna Apennines, with five employees and specialized in laser engraving and cutting, has decided to convert the production to supply multimedia devices (protective masks and visors ) to deal with the coronavirus emergency.
To support the initiative, the city council has decided to provide a contribution of € 6,100, which will be used to allow the laboratory tests necessary to start the production of the devices to be carried out; in exchange, the company will deliver to the Administration devices to be distributed to the local health and social and health structures, to civil and voluntary protection associations and, if necessary, to citizens. The mask will soon be on the market for common use, while for use as a medical device an application has been submitted to the Istituto Superiore di Sanità to produce the masks, as well as protective Pet visors.
