It is an appeal to the institutions, to all those living on tourism and to the Italians "to save a sector which represents 13% of the national GDP, equal to 232.2 billion euros and is one of the main engines of the economy, of the Italian society and culture ".
The initiative - which unites competing private companies for the first time - is from the associations Astoi Confindustria Viaggi (which represents 90% of the tour operating in Italy), Fto (which brings together the world of tourism distribution with independent networks and agencies and other segments sector) and important operators in the sector: Alpitour World, Gattinoni Group, Robintur Travel Group, Alidays, Bluserena, Futura Vacanze, Giver Viaggi e Crociere, Travel Ideas, World Map Travel, Naar, Nicolaus-Valtur, Ota Viaggi, TH Resorts , Trinity Travel Study, Uvet, Veratour.
The signatories, promoters and supporters of the Manifesto urgently ask the government to adopt some strong actions for the survival of businesses and all workers: the creation of an extraordinary fund to support loss of income for all businesses in the tourism sector organized through zero-rate loans and non-repayable loans in proportion to the turnover of each individual company in the sector; the extension of the cash dispenser and the creation of holiday vouchers to be used for the upcoming summer season.
