The BTS exam validated by continuous monitoring or postponed to September

2020-04-07T21:18:36.249Z

The ministries of education and higher education decided on Tuesday the modalities of the exam.

The BTS exams will be sanctioned this year via continuous assessment or postponed until September, depending on the candidates' situations. Due to the coronavirus epidemic, "new procedures for passing national exams" have been decided, they said the ministries of education and higher education in a joint statement released Tuesday evening.

For each BTS (higher technician certificate) student able to present a school or training book, the national diploma "will be awarded on the basis of the training course already carried out and the school book" (on the basis of the average of the grades for the year except those obtained during confinement).

An examination board will decide the final marks, and will study the booklets to "if necessary, value a commitment, the progress of the students, guarantee equity between the candidates, and check their attendance" until the end of the year.

By decision of the examining board, candidates not admitted after studying the school booklet may be authorized to take the BTS at the September session. For BTS candidates who do not have a school book, the June session "is postponed to September".

A special device in the case of post-BTS studies

The ministries ensure that in the event of post-BTS postgraduate studies, "a special device will make it possible to keep the benefit of candidate registrations", until the results of the BTS exam are announced.

For the more than 20,000 candidates registered for the Accounting and Management Diploma (DCG) tests which were to take place from May 26, the tests will be postponed until July.
