The number of corona virus infections rose to 9,755 this morning (Thursday), according to figures released by the Health Ministry. The data also shows that there are 165 patients in serious condition, of whom 119 are breathing, a 12.3% increase in the last day. The number of patients in mild condition is 8,476, a significant majority of patients, and the number of intermediate patients is 171. An increase was also recorded in the number of recovered and discharged patients, which now stands at 864.

During the night, an 86-year-old man died at Poriya Hospital in Tiberias. The man, who suffered from serious background illnesses, is the fourth occupant to have passed away from the Yavneel nursing home where an outbreak of the virus occurred two weeks ago. Fourier Hospital said: "The patient has come to the medical center in a human condition, suffering from severe pneumonia. This is a patient with many background diseases. We are participating in the family's heavy grief."
