You don't need a real vase for flowers, an old glass does too - with a special twist, the whole thing becomes creative.
Cologne (dpa / tmn) - Now in spring many want to decorate their homes with flowers - new vases are not necessary. Flowers, leaves and grasses also find a nice place in old jam jars. Doesn't sound creative at first - but with perforated wooden discs, the vase is an eye-catcher.
The DIY Academy in Cologne explains how to do it: Take a wooden disc with a diameter larger than the glass opening. Then you drill through the wood in several places with different sized drill attachments. Put water in the glass and put on the pane. The flowers can be arranged in any way in the holes.
