Corona default in nursing homes: negative results for virus in tests of another 29 elderly | Israel today

Results of repeat tests at the Ashkelon Seniors House: The 29 occupants who were diagnosed with corona patients last Thursday were found to be negative for a corona virus test. Amigur's report said the findings of the repeated tests at Barzilai Hospital this morning indicated that 32 subjects from the "Zahavit" seniors in Ashkelon did not carry the Corona virus. Along with the 14 seniors from the Beit Hadar Nursing Home in Ashdod, it was mistaken for an examination for more than 40 elderly people. 

Recall that the Ministry of Health has decided to conduct repeated corona tests for the 29 elderly people found yesterday with the virus, as well as three others, all of whom were negative in the examination.

During the day, the Home Front Command carried out a thorough disinfection in the public areas of the institution and Amigur's management made sure to deliver food to all the isolated occupants. Meanwhile, there were 12,982 Corona patients in Israel today, and there was another decline in the number of people who were registered. Of 168 severely ill patients, 122 are connected to respirators. This is a decrease of 11 percent. 

Earlier today, Assuta Ashdod, Barzilai and Kaplan hospitals re-examined about 14 seniors from Beit Hadar Nursing Home in Ashdod, with the big concern being that they were inadvertently admitted to the Corona Department. The big danger is that those seniors, who are in the main risk group for the disease. Nine of the elderly people who underwent repeated tests were in Assuta, two in Brazil and the rest in Kaplan. 

Assuta Hospital said that all nine patients diagnosed with corona were found to be negative for the virus, re-examined by the hospital's laboratory and thanks to Dr. Tal Brosh's teaching - an infectious disease specialist. The patients were transferred to the ward and the hospital was closely monitoring their condition.

Two Brazilian patients who are undergoing a re-examination are hospitalized in Brazil. Isolate them inside the Corona Department and wait for instructions on what to do with them. In Kaplan there are three inpatients. It is not yet known what the results of those repeated tests are. 

Barzilai Hospital reported at the time: "At the Barzilai Medical Center, two patients from the Citrus hospital were apparently hospitalized and proved to be infected with the corona virus. At the same time, 29 elderly vaccines were discovered at the Zahavit nursing home in Ashkelon, proven to be the coronary virus carriers. ) And who were free of symptoms, fearing that this case was also a false positive, Barzilai Medical Director Prof. Hezi Levy initiated a re-examination of the 29 patients mentioned above.



"Nurses from the hospital and the health bureau departed this morning for an operation to take re-tests from the above vaccines. The samples will be tested in the microbiological laboratory at the Brazilian Medical Center. This was done in coordination with the Ministry of Health and we are waiting for answers that are due in the late afternoon. "
