Confindustria, 43.7% of companies in a 'crisis'

(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 18 - "Firms with very serious problems are now 43.7% against 14.4% in the previous survey".
   Confindustria indicates it among the results of a second survey, started on 4 April on a sample of 4,420 Italian companies, on the effects of the Covid-19 emergency. 36.5%, after the Dpcm of 22 and 25 March, had to close their business while 33.8% partially closed it. 53.1% of employees may have to resort to social safety nets. Entrepreneurs "feel unarmed" (78.2%).
    According to the survey, "there was a marked deterioration compared to the perception of the first survey for the number of companies that suffered the negative impact of the coronavirus (97.2% against 67.2% of the previous one)". And "the deterioration also occurred due to the extent of the damage immediately". 26.4% of the total employees of the companies interviewed currently carry out their smartworking activity, while 43.0% "are inactive".
