"I was really frustrated, I thought that something really had to be done," slides Jane Cattani behind her sewing machine. So recently, this professional in the fashion world has decided to make fabric masks for the most fragile. Ultimately, the production of this Parisian will be distributed in supermarkets by partner brands of the "Solidarity Mask" scheme.
This platform, imagined by the writer Alexandre Jardin, aims to connect volunteer dressmakers, fabric owners and fragile people in need of masks. All thanks to the unique site Masquesolidaire.fr.
The protections made throughout France will be offered to those most at risk of developing serious forms of Covid-19. The operation will be launched on April 24 and can already count on 30,000 volunteer dressmakers like Jane Cattani.
