Coronavirus: Tajikistan also surrenders, stop the championship

If in Europe begin to see glimpses for the resumption of some leagues, the news arrives from Tajikistan that the national football association has decided to suspend the season, which began only on April 4 last year, at least until May 10 in observance of the security measures adopted yesterday by the government against the pandemic. Tajikistan was one of the rare 'happy islands' of football worldwide, along with Belarus, Nicaragua, Taiwan and Turkmenistan.
    The season had started regularly after local authorities had pointed out that in the former Soviet republic there were no victims due to the coronavirus, which was also confirmed yesterday before however taking new precautions that also include the suspension of all sporting events.
    However, it was decided to play behind closed doors, starting with the Super Cup final, won by Istqlol Dushanbe against Kuhjande. Between yesterday and today the fourth day of the maximum championship (ten teams) and the last matches of the other categories are held before the stop.
