Eyal Berkowitz is known for not being afraid to say his views on the interviewees coming to his program - he does not hesitate to attack and yell at them, which has given the program its name as a lively and docile place. Last weekend (Friday) Ophira Assage interviewed Barako co-chair, Ayman Odeh.
Unlike usual, Berkowitz did not directly attack Ode, but only his party members. For example, in his opening remarks, Barco said: "I saw that you are different from your party members, that you really come from the heart, want democracy here, want cooperation, you have values ... I saw this week that you were at a conference you spoke to and saluted ...". Later, Barco reiterated that his claim was not towards Odeh but to his partners.
Barco's somewhat conciliatory approach may have angered some of his friends or followers. For example, on Shadow's Facebook page, the surfers attacked the interview. In the story that aired today (Sunday), Barco was already broadcasting other tunes: "Dear friends," he wrote, "last Friday, Aiman Odeh visited me. Admits, and unfortunately the rabbi in the investigation they did before the program mislead me and told me that he did not support terrorism." Barco went on to write: "Unfortunately, I ate it. Ayman Odeh is indeed a terrorist supporter, and indeed it is the first time that I feel that I fell in the interview."
