There is no death this year, but the heart of state radio and "Israel Today" will serve you to celebrate festive independence for ten hours on Independence Day, hosted by Aliko.

This year Independence Day will be quite different. No stage and no performances by artists who skip from stage to stage all over the country. Radio broadcaster Aliko Cohen, who is usually on these stages, will hold a special broadcast of "Voice of the State" radio in cooperation with "Israel Today" this year. The event will be held on Independence Day morning and will last for ten hours, during which he will submit songs, talk to listeners, host singers and even serve food to singers and their bands.

"This year I did not have a specific stage that I closed for Independence Day," Eliko says. "Most of the years I wandered between stages in Rishon Lezion, Petah Tikva, Rosh HaAyin. This year I did not have anything closed and because of the whole situation we went for what we call the 'stage of Israel'."

"It's been a month and a half since the crisis began, I've been hosting artists in my studio. We built a television studio in our radio complex and hosted every day. Whether it's Sarit Hadad, Moshe Peretz, Dudu Aharon, Lior Narkis, Shlomi Saranga, Eden Hasson or very Edri "They come with their musicians, we talk, sing, eat, it's always accompanied by food. Once I realized that people were going to be home this year on Christmas Day, I decided to bring them the joy into the house."

Can you tell what's planned?

"This is a broadcast that will start at 9:00 in the morning and end at 19:00. It will open with listeners and congratulations for Independence Day. At 12:00, Kobi Peretz will come to us with his band for an independence show. We will share awards, host chefs and talk On food, on Independence Day, and throughout the entire Corona crisis, people mostly eat, at 2:00 pm I put on a DJ set of Mediterranean Israeli music, but remixes, as if on joyous occasions. And his band and there will be a big celebration here. We are setting up something reminiscent of an event complex, with falafel, shawarma and a mangalist who will play throughout the day. You can watch it live on Facebook or listen to the radio. "

Expecting you is not an easy job. Ten hours of broadcasting isn't a laugh.

"Yes, it's a long-distance transmitter. But know that for me, if they close me in the studio and say, 'You are leaving here in two days' - when they come back to get me out, I will still broadcast. I have a strong passion for what I do and I never run out. I always want more."

What do you hear from coaches who come to stay with you? Are they worried about the situation?

"All the artists who are staying with me on the show have the same sentence: 'Alico, I haven't been singing for a month, so thank you for inviting me.' We set a three-hour program with them and some stay much longer. Ofer Levy sings with me for five hours. There is a longing for the audience. Take the microphone and they are lost. Let's talk about the economic damage.

Some would say that the amount of impressions they receive on Independence Day is too high.

"I think the protest of the artists, or the books or the small business, is the same protest. Everyone has no horizon right now, nor do they tell them when it will end. True, a singer earns more income than having a small falafel shop, it's clear to everyone, but everyone's cry is similar. Everyone wants to get back into the routine and get started. "
