(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 27 - House speaker Nancy Pelos supports former American vice president Joe Biden in her run towards the White House.
"Today I am proud to support Joe Biden for the presidency of the United States," says Pelosi in a video stressing that Biden "will be an extraordinary president" and "knows how to get the job done."
Referring to the current situation, the speaker of the Chamber affirms: "As we face the coronavirus, Joe has been a voice of reason and flexibility, with a clear path to lead us out of this crisis".
And he also mentions Biden's contribution in the approval of the so-called Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act), the health care reform wanted by Barack Obama, which Donald Trump is trying to dismantle.
Pelosi's support for Biden follows that already expressed, among others, by Obama himself, former vice president AlGore, Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Elizabeth Warren.
