In just over a month of existence, the “Pour Eux” collective has delivered more than 9,000 meals in Paris alone. In Lille, Montpellier, Toulouse and Annecy, hundreds of people are in the kitchen or on bikes to provide meals to the homeless during confinement.
Bénédicte and her husband are part of this chain of solidarity. Together they cook small dishes every day for the homeless in their neighborhood. “It's super virtuous because everyone posts what they do on Facebook. We do not provide a triangle sandwich, we make them small seasonal dishes, which are good, which they are probably not used to eating, ”says this Parisian.

Éléonore, 25, has also embarked on the adventure. By bike, she travels the streets of Paris several days a week to collect dishes from volunteer cooks and deliver them to the poor. “It is also a way to maintain social contact. When we deliver the meals, we will stop, discuss five minutes, take news of each other… ”, she says.
Born during confinement, the initiative deserves to continue, according to Éléonore: “Once everyone resumes their professional activity, I don't know to what extent it will be possible, but the idea is to see if it 'is adaptable in normal times. "
