Gone are the days when we languished from the sun at our window in full confinement without being able to enjoy it. This week, the rain returns over a large part of the territory. With great noise: this Monday afternoon, thunderstorms are rumbling all over France. Météo France has also placed two departments in southern Occitania on orange alert for thunderstorms, rain and floods: Gard and Hérault.

After midnight, "thunderstorms that can give strong accumulations of rain in a short time are expected", it is written in a press release issued Monday afternoon, envisaging precipitation of "80 mm in three hours". Possible hailstorms in Ile-de-France
In the Paris region, stormy episodes started in the afternoon, and should only end in the late evening. Météo France notes possible hailstorms throughout the region.
Thunderstorms also hit a good part of Brittany, Normandy, Hauts-de-France for the northern half. The center and south-east of the country will also be affected. All the rest of the territory, except for Finistère, is under yellow vigilance due to thunderstorms.
A rainy week
The weather for the rest of the week will not be better. Tuesday afternoon, thunderstorms will cross France in a large diagonal, which extends from the Pyrenees to the Franco-Belgian border through Limousin and Burgundy.
It is only Wednesday that calm will return, with a good part of the country in the rain or showers. If you plan to treat yourself to a few hours of tanning on your window or balcony, be patient, and save the sunscreen for Sunday afternoon.
