(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 30 - "Any attempt" of hacker attacks against critical infrastructures such as hospitals "is unacceptable": "all authors must immediately take action against such irresponsible and destabilizing actions, which can put people's lives at risk". Thus the EU Representative Josep Borrell condemns the cyber threats addressed to operators engaged in the fight against the pandemic reported by all Member States.
"We need the whole world to be united in this global fight against the virus. It is a matter of humanity and universally shared values," he stressed, warning that the whole EU is ready for a crackdown on hackers.
Member States and Brussels "will further strengthen their technical, operational, judicial and diplomatic cooperation, including with their international partners" against cyberthreats, warned Borrell, calling for "global, open, stable, peaceful and secure environment"
