(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 30 - "The procedure relating to the alleged burial in the Vatican, at the Teutonic cemetery, of the remains of Emanuela Orlandi, has been archived by the Single Judge of the Vatican City State, who has fully accepted the request of the Office of the Justice Promoter ".
This was announced in a press release from the Holy See Press Office which explains that the fragments found can be dated back to before the disappearance of poor Emanuela: the most recent date back to at least a hundred years ago. But the family will be able to investigate further. The file had been opened last summer, after the denunciation of the family members of the young woman who disappeared in 1983, following which the Promotor of Justice, Gian Piero Milano had authorized access to two tombs located inside the Teutonic Cemetery, which were then empty. A "further investigation had led to the discovery, in an underground room within the cemetery complex, of thousands of fragments but all of a remote era.
