At Amazon Prime and other online shops, many customers are currently waiting a long time for their packages. This trick shortens delivery times.

  • Because of the coronavirus is propagated in Online - Shops ordered.
  • However, customers have to be prepared for longer delivery times .
  • With a trick you can get around this quickly.

Dortmund - The Coronavirus * plays into the cards of one branch in particular:  online trading . RUHR24.de * reports that more and more people are not only ordering their clothing and technology products on the Internet, but also groceries . But now you need a lot of patience, because the orders sometimes take longer to really reach the customers.

Because of corona virus: Long delivery times at Amazon

Even Amazon, which entered the dating business with an art campaign *, is now complaining about delays in the ordering process. Instead of a delivery time of one to two days, products in online trading sometimes take up to a month or more before they reach the customer.

Even as a Amazon Prime customer , you often have to wait more than two weeks or more for your orders. Usually the prime symbol is a signal that the product is in stock and therefore immediately available (all service items at RUHR24 *).

Express shipping from Amazon is no longer possible due to corona virus

If you need something very urgently, please order by express - shipping or morning express. The products are at home with the customer after just a few hours or even on the same day

But this option is now denied to customers, because fast shipping is no longer offered on Amazon . The so-called savings subscriptions from Amazon will also be paused for the time being - anyone who receives their mouthwash or toilet paper by post every month will now have to wait a long time.

Despite the corona virus, Otto-Versand only has to deal with a few delivery problems

Increased demand and the safety of employees are the reason for the long delays in the ordering process, according to the Consumer Advice Center in North Rhine-Westphalia . Food and personal care products in particular would have a higher priority when ordering - much to the chagrin of other products, which are therefore only shipped later.

However, the online shop Otto also currently has fewer problems than its competitors to fight. "There is only a delay of a few days in individual cases," said the second largest online retailer in Germany on his homepage .

Corona virus: Delivery difficulties at Zalando, Saturn and MediaMarkt

After all, in both cases it is known that there are delays . At Zalando, on the other hand, you have to hope for delivery times between six and nine days. In contrast, there are regional delivery difficulties at the technology giants Saturn and MediaMarkt - exact delivery times cannot therefore be given.

If you still want to receive your goods quickly, you could use a trick from the NRW consumer center . They recommend finding the required product on the Internet using a price search engine

Consumer Advice Center NRW: Use price search engines for short delivery times

With many of these price search engines, you can not only find out the cheapest price for a product online, but also enter that the shortest delivery time is searched for. So you can see at a glance which online shop is the fastest way to ship the desired product.

So it may not be worth ordering from online giants like Amazon or Otto , but also from smaller and local retailers who deliver the goods to the living room throughout Germany with shipping. This not only supports smaller companies, it also has the product in their hands more quickly.
