The downward trend continues in most regions for coronavirus infections.
LAZIO - The recovered are three times the number of new cases: 165 in the last 24 hours compared to 56 new positive cases with a trend for the first time below 1%, 8 deaths in the last 24 hours. "On the occasion of the feast of May 1st I want to thank all the health workers and an ideal hug from Spallanzani where I went to visit this morning. There have been 8 deaths in the last 24h", comments the Councilor for Health of the Region Lazio, Alessio D'Amato.
BASILICATA - Eleven positive buffers on the last 495 analyzed in Basilicata: almost a "cold shower" for a region that in the last few days had recorded very low numbers. This was announced by the regional task force. The new positives are distributed in eight municipalities (one each in Moliterno, Roccanova, Cersosimo, Senise, Tramutola, Marsiconuovo and Irsina; four in Marsicovetere). Confirmed infections are in Basilicata 193, with 25 covid-19 victims and 160 people recovered. In the two major Lucanian hospitals there are 53 coronavirus patients: at San Carlo di Potenza 14 are in the infectious diseases ward and eight in pneumology; at the Madonna delle Grazie in Matera, 27 are in the infectious disease ward and four in intensive care. There are 140 people in home isolation.
VENETO - There are 84 other cases of new positive Coronaviruses compared to yesterday, for a total of 18,098 subjects affected by the infection since the beginning of the epidemic. The death curve seems to slow down: there are 5 more victims than last night, a number that has risen to 20 in the last 24 hours, for a total of 1,479 deaths (between hospitals and RSA). In today's report of the Region, Verona is the province with the highest number of new positives (+30). Sick subjects (currently positive) drop to 7,779. The number of hospitalized patients drops (-13), while the one in intensive care, which currently hosts 110 patients, remains stable
