On this 48th day of confinement, France still records 135 new deaths in 24 hours due to the coronavirus, announced the Directorate General of Health (DGS) in a press release this Sunday. Since the start of the epidemic, 24,895 people have died from Covid-19 in the country.

A total of 25,815 patients remain hospitalized in the country to date due to SARS-CoV-2 infection. The decline has been confirmed for three weeks in the intensive care unit with 8 fewer patients this Sunday, according to the DGS. Nearly 3,819 patients are still in intensive care.

Since the start of the epidemic, 92,799 patients have been hospitalized. And more than 50,784 people returned to their homes, not to mention the tens of thousands of people healed in the city.

"On the indicator summary map, we can see an improvement with the change from orange to green in the Gers, Loire-Atlantique and Mayenne, thanks to a decrease in the active circulation of the virus," says the DGS.
