Sam Lloyd, the American actor famous for the character of the lawyer Ted Buckland in the TV series 'Scrubs'- Medici at the top of the knife', has died. He was 56 and the announcement of his disappearance on the evening of April 30 in Los Angeles was given by his agent, Kevin Turner, in the online 'The Hollywood Reporter'.

"Rest in peace to one of the funniest actors I have ever had the joy of working with. I will always remember the time I spent with you, Sammy," Scrubs star Zach Braff wrote on Twitter in memory of the actor.

And the creator of the series, Bill Lawrence, paid tribute to him with these words in a tweet: "I think a lot about Sam Lloyd today. Really a kind and sweet boy. Many will miss him ".

Born in Weston, Vermont on November 12, 1963, Sam Lloyd was the grandson of actor Christopher Lloyd . In January 2019 he had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Scrubs producer Tom Hobert and his wife Jill had launched a campaign to raise funds to cure the actor on GoFundMe, which grossed about $ 160,000.

Lloyd starred in all 95 episodes of "Scrubs", which aired in the original series from 2001 to 2009, set in a Californian hospital. But he was also the interpreter of many other TV series such as 'Desperate Housewives', 'Modern Family' and 'West Wing'.

In addition to acting, he loved music and was a singer in an a cappella vocal group , The Blanks, jokingly called Ted's Band, which at home and in North America were very successful.

He leaves his wife Vanessa and their son Weston, born in 2019.
